Today I asked hubby to go up into the attack amd get my summer clothes. I remember sorting them out last year thinking ill never get back into these clothes. While sorting them last year I had obviously added my pyjama bottoms that I’d worn at the start of my recovery from the emergency csection and sepsis.
Today I found them and it really took me back…firstly I couldn’t believe how big I’d actually got during my last pregnancy no wonder my recovery from sepsis and the csection was so difficult I believe that if I’d have been fitter and better nourished throughout the pregnancy then the csection wouldn’t have been necessary(as the 4 other births I had were absolutely fine).

As you can see the pyjama bottoms are absolutely huge I can get both my legs and body into 1 leg but in the picture on the left they were fitting me fine as cropped trousers.
It’s not until moments like this that I realise how far I have come and how dangerous i was being with my health. I put myself into such a dangerous position that in this photo I struggled to play and have fun with my children. I knew then that things would desperately need to change so I could be the person you see on the right.
It’s taken 2 years of nourishing my body back to health but the small gradual steps iv taken daily, weekly, monthly have all added up to a great result. I really hope my journey helps inspire other women in my position to chose themselves so they are healthy for their children for their family and most importantly for themselves.
